C3 Diet: The only Cardiologist Approved Free Online Diet!
Congratulations!

If you have made it to this chapter, hopefully you have lost all but the last ten percent. For women usually this is the last 10 pounds. For men, it's usually the last 15 pounds. Losing the last ten percent of your weight is the hardest part of any diet program, but you can do it.

First of all, you don't have to. You can stay at this current weight and be perfectly healthy. There is no need to lose any more weight. The biggets battle now will be keeping the weight off long term. That is going to be the true battle.

However, if you really want to lose the last few pounds, there are a number of options.

Go Backwards

Go back to Phase I of the C3 Diet and be very strict. Extremely strict. More strict than you have ever been. Cut out anything and everything that has carbohydrates in it. Go back and review Phase I if you have forgotten. This will work, but may be hard to do.

Cut Calories

No one likes to count calories, but you may have to cut way back on calories. Cut back about 15 to 20% of the amount of calories you are eating. If you are eating 2000 per day, cut out 400-600 calories. If you eat only 1500 calories, cut out about 300-400. If you aren't counting and don't know, eat only about two thirds of what you normally have been eating. If you aren't counting calories, start over with the C3 Diet...

Start Over

Restart the C3 Diet from your new current weight and current calorie consumption. When you used to weight 240, eating only a third of of what you used to eat was enough to trigger weight loss. But now that you weigh only 170, you may have to start over and eat only a third of what you are eating now. This will trigger weight loss once again.

Exercise

You don't have to exercise to lose weight, but if the above isn't working to lose that last ten percent, you can start exercising. This will boost your metabolism and help you lose more weight, even while sleeping. Be sure to incorporate resistance training (weights) as well as cardiovascular (treadmill) type exercises. Resistance training burns far more calories than a treadmill. See our exercise chapter for more information.

These steps will make a big difference if you really want to lose those last few pounds.
